Millennials are an integral part of today’s workforce – and their importance is set to grow.
According to a study by Deloitte, they will account for 75% of workers by 2025. So, how can organisations appeal to this growing demographic?
We spoke to Ben Bengougam, Senior Vice President HR – Europe, Middle East & Africa at Hilton, about how firms can rethink their traditional recruitment strategy to accommodate this cohort.
“The good news is that we already know a lot about Millennials – including what they look for in a career,” he says. “Research we recently launched with the International Youth Foundation provided further insight into their motivations in choosing a rewarding career path.
“We found that, more than anything, Millennials want to work in a role they enjoy (this was the top priority for 72% of respondents) along with flexibility (56%) and international opportunities (33%).
“Millennials have distinct expectations of the workplace and how to get there. The traditional recruitment processes simply won’t cut it anymore.”
