Launched a couple of years ago as a consumer product, Google Glass failed to leave a mark for long. The Glass started as a passion project and ended up becoming a product that created great hype, but failed to deliver all it promised.
However, Google is now back with Glass 2.0, which is only made for employees and enterprises. This version of the Glass is known as the Glass Enterprise Edition (EE).
The new Glass EE includes an updated camera module that bumps resolution to 8 (previously it was 5), and it has longer battery life, a better processor, an indicator for video recording and improved Wi-Fi speeds. However, the biggest change is that the Glass EE module is now available to be attached with all existing eyewear frames.
Making it an easily detachable, modular device is a huge advantage for enterprise use since it facilitates roll out to employees who use glasses to improve vision. For those who do not use glasses, the classic frame is also available to buy.
