Today, OpenText announced the launch of OpenText People Center. It is the latest addition to the OpenText EIM portfolio which currently consists of product solutions such as Content Suite, Process Suite, Experience Suite, Analytics Suite, Discovery Suite and Business Network.
The new HR application from one of the global leaders in Enterprise Information Management (EIM) is built on OpenText AppWorks and allows companies deeper visibility and insight into the success of their HR services. Due to its integration with key back-end systems, OpenText People Center gives employees and HR teams self-service access to relevant information and forms and documents, enables a faster response to inquiries and requests, and offers the ability to address critical HR issues.
According to a company press release, OpenText People Center is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application designed to simplify HR processes. It makes accessing employee documents easier, drives document compliance, and transforms the employee experience. With the application, companies are able to take a data driven approach to HR due to its incorporation of predictive analytics and document management capabilities to address complex HR issues and focus on high-value initiatives.
OpenText People Center also allows HR departments to create an employee portal with dynamic case management to save time, optimize resources, and increase employee engagement with self-service capabilities.
Regarding the application, Muhi Majzoub, executive vice president of Engineering at OpenText, said, “Built on the low-code development environment, OpenText AppWorks, People Center allows both professional and citizen developers to easily customize the application for specific organizational needs with pre-built accelerators and building blocks.
“The low-code platform speeds up development by enabling developers to rapidly design, build and deploy applications. It also enables developers to easily build new applications or extend applications as needed using purpose built APIs and RESTful or content services, such as the OpenText LEAP family of products.”
OpenText People Center will not be generally available until late summer 2017, and initially for the North America market only.
