Flipkart CEO takes charge of HR operations
Recently-appointed CEO of Flipkart, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, will now also oversee the human resources department as the e-commerce giant scouts for a HR head to report to Krishnamurthy, said a report in The Economic Times.
Since he took over as CEO in January, Krishnamurthy also holds the portfolio of finance, with CFO Sriram Venkataraman reporting to him. The engineering team headed by Ravi Garikapati also reports to Krishnamurthy.
Nitin Seth, who joined the company as chief people officer in March 2016 from Fidelity International, continued to handle HR after he was promoted as chief administrative officer and subsequently chief operating officer.
PharmEasy gets new CTO, plans to fill 200 new positions in 3-4 months
As it looks to rejig its technology stack, pharmacy aggregator PharmEasy has hired Nishu Goyal as its chief technology officer, according to a report in The Economic Times.
Goyal joins PharmEasy from global ecommerce retailer Fab.com, where she led the engineering team.
Close on the heels of its $18 million funding round, the Mumbai-based startup is looking to hire a little over 100 people for its technology team in the next two months, PharmEasy co-founder Dhaval Shah told the newspaper.
The startup looks to fill in 200 new position in the next few months to add to its existing employee base of 350.
“Besides the basic service of being an aggregator of pharmacies, we are now aiming to track the healthcare journey of every consumer through our platform.For this, we are undergoing a technology platform rejig to have multiple tech stacks for different aspects of our business including logistics, customer targeting, subscription, payment among others,” Shah said.
